Create an account

The simpliest way to use the application is to create a cloud instance.
First step is to create an account

Create a drive

When connected, you have to create a new Drive
Once created you can only benefit from the cloud version of the Drive.
To create a local instance or join the community you have to download the application.

Download the VDrive application

To download the application simply go to this page and select the latest version provided for your Operaing System.

Install the application

Once downloaded, you can simply install the application by unzipping the application to the desired folder.

Start the application

Inside the unzipped folder, you can launch the Drive Administrator by executing VDrive.bat.
The application will then connect to the internet to setup the local network parameter.
A browser page will open to the Administration Console
You can access the local instance using the following button:

Create a local instance of the drive

You can now create a local instance of the drive. If you already have created a drive using your account, you can load this drive localy. You can create a standalone version of the drive too. This will act only as a data container, as it is does not need to register on the website.

Load an existing drive

If you already have a drive registered online, you can create a local instance of this drive. It will then be accessible from your local network even if offline from the internert. It will synchronize with other cloud instances creating a new backup node dedicated to this drive.
